PREVENTATIVE DENTAL CARE

Regular preventative dentistry is an important part of maintaining good oral health in addition to diligent home care. Our team wants to make sure that you get the most out of your office visits and that your teeth stay healthy for life. We will work with you to provide complete dental care, address any oral health concerns you may have, and show you how to maintain your smile at home by discussing strategies to customize your home health care

Preventative appointments, every six months or as recommended by our team, give you the chance to talk with us and receive answers for any questions you may have about your oral health. Checkups are also a great way for you to find out about new treatments that may benefit your smile.

DENTAL CLEANING AND EXAMS

Regular dental checkups are an important part of maintaining your oral health. Preventative appointments include digital x-rays if needed, a professional teeth cleaning, rinse, and polish.  A professional teeth cleaning is more than making teeth feel smooth and polished.  It includes removal of plaque and tarter which can help prevent decay from forming.  A regular checkup and cleaning also includes evaluating your teeth and gums for gingivitis and signs of periodontal disease.

ORAL CANCER SCREENING

A regular check-up exam also includes a thorough screening of soft tissues including gums, lips, cheek, neck and jaw.  This is vital for early detection and treatment of oral cancer.

PERIODONTAL THERAPY

Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is an infection of the gums surrounding your teeth. Gum disease is the primary reason for tooth loss in adults.  The link between oral bacteria and serious medical conditions have been proven which is why it is critically important to not let periodontitis go untreated.  Home care and a customized treatment plan are essential for controlling and preventing bone loss and gum disease and our team can help you with this strategic approach.
